Petals at Their Peak Garden Showcase
We are very excited about our first Petals at their Peak Garden Showcase! The inspiration for this event is to share the park's beauty at its peak. The Eisenhower Park Rose Garden is so much more than roses whose delicate petals fade quickly in the summer’s heat. The garden is also filled with annuals and perennials saturated with color.
This event allows you to see and photograph the garden in all its splendor. The early morning hours are the best for photography.
Saturday
Petals at their Peak will begin Saturday morning, July 15th, at 7 am. This event is come and go until 1 pm. Admission is free.
Art supplies will be provided for a $10.00 fee; participants may choose their own medium, from watercolor paints, pastels, colored pencils and more. Participants may choose anywhere they would like in the Rose Garden to paint. There will be crayons and paper available for children to use as they capture the beauty - children's art area is free of charge. Artists will also be on-site, as well as horticulturist Joy Maas, who coordinates and plants the magnificent Rose Garden, now in its Peak.
The annual Chaffee Bradshaw Children's Summer Session Art exhibit will take place at this event.
